Dora Dueck


Dora Dueck is a Winnipeg writer and editor.


Her books include a collection of short fiction, What You Get at Home (Turnstone 2012), which won a 2013 High Plains Book Award, and two novels: This Hidden Thing (CMU 2010), which won the 2011 McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award, and Under the Still Standing Sun (Kindred 1989).


She has also written two contract biographies, published short stories and articles in a variety of journals, and worked as an editor. She was winner of The Malahat Review’s 2014 novella prize for “Mask”. She has an MA in history from the Universities of Winnipeg and Manitoba (joint).


Currently, she is working on a third novel.
